RE: project, banger n smash
cars in the garage and back is high in the air. best start this boot he says...................
hummm rear subframe off (put that in the scrap pile) (found the rear brakes are new ish tho YAY!!!!!!) after 2 hours today i have decided the lower rear panel section needs replacing and ive cut the old floor section out so big hole now. endless amounts of grinding due to the fact ive got to replace the floor over the rear subframe reinforcing plates. anyone that has done this will understand how long it takes to remove.this is going to take some time this bit and has to be the worst part of the whole project to far. i think 3-4 weeks before 4 wheels again. i remember now how much i hated doing this on the other shell. ive got to do exactly the same thing to this one. EVERY other panel has had some welding or attention front, wings, a-panel, quarters, roof (has dents), doors, floor pans, scuttle, bonnet (mullered), bulkhead, sills, inner wings, rear arches, all i have left is the rear to do and if a jobs worth doing....... should be a mint shell after (minus nice paint) (oh gav that clubman my friend bought might be back up for sale soon, needs lots of panel work tho but 1100 engine is a genuine 25k. sounds like new. i hope he sticks with the project tho )

RE: project, banger n smash
oh not so finished yet gav lol. i have pictures but will have to get them all up at one, mayb later.
this boot floor is a total nighmare. the worst panel i have ever seen in my life. i could have made one out of old bent tractor wheels that fitted better! serious amout on panel beating required. then the wire feed on one of the welders packed up...... no gas for the other one so spent most of my time fixing the thing. floor is almost in and ive repaired parts of the archs too. have to tackle the lower boot section now with 3 more terrible hadrian panels rather than one genuine panel which i was going to fit. the trouble was herritage are not making a batch for 8-10 weeks !!! grrr so its more work for me then! i am really starting to regret wasting my money on these panels as they take 4 times longer to fit, cheapness costs time! as i said, sort some pictures out when something that looks like actual progress has taken place

not impressed by how long this boot is taking grrr oh offered up my new valence, guess what.... its altest and inch tooo narrow F&*@&%$£"*(*&^ panels !!! Patience is a virtue
